Okay, I know I'm biased, but little boys don't get much cuter than this! Saturday evening we drove to Glen Rose on our way to Granbury. Glen Rose is home to Dinosaur Valley State Park, where you can dig for fossils and see real dinosaur footprints. We opted to eat a quick dinner at a bbq restaurant instead but couldn't pass up a perfect photo op in front of the visitor's center.

Me in the Bluebonnets!
After I posted the pictures of Kai in the bluebonnets the other day, I came across this picture of me when I was 4 years old and thought I'd share. :)

Kai in the bluebonnets
If you're not from Texas, you may not be aware that we Texans are in love with our state flower, the Bluebonnet. Come April, it's not unusual to see entire familes pulled off to the side of the highway posing the kids in the field of bluebonnets to get that perfect photo. Yesterday I literally saw a crazy mother posing her children on the median! So, one of the great perks of living out in the country I've just recently realized. All I had to do to get my pics of Kai posing in a field of bluebonnets was walk to the next field over from our house. No pulling off to the side of the highway as cars whiz by, hoping for that perfect shot. Just one more reason I love where we live!

A trip to the Zoo
Easter weekend we took a group of Karen refugees to the Dallas Zoo. For most of them, it was their first visit to a zoo, and also their first ride on the train (we took the Dart Rail). It was a blast. Here is a photo montage for your viewing pleasure.
New Baby Donkey!
Leroy and Daphne are pleased to announce the birth of their new daughter, Jezebel, born on Saturday, April 3rd.
Well, Leroy is not actually thrilled, exactly, as this means that his advances are bound to be shunned by his bride for at least the next 4 months. We'll assume he's happy on the inside...
This is my cousin Tyler congratulating and consoling Leroy on the new arrival.

We had three lambs born just this afternoon! That brings our grand total to 6--one black and 5 white. I will be posting pics on our For Sale page this weekend. For those of you who are interested in a lamb this season but haven't yet committed by paying a deposit to reserve one, now is the time. Please email us at mitschke@oneworldfarm.com to let us know you're interested, as they're going fast! Thanks!
